The previously used shop system from Magento was geared more towards B2C business. For this reason, HDM decided to gradually migrate to Salesforce’s commerce solution in a well-planned manner. Of course, the shop software had to meet high standards in terms of internationalisation.

Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud acts a common basis for the e-commerce activities of HDM’s numerous national subsidiaries. This way, the respective e-commerce managers can quickly and flexibly set up their local promotions in the storefront and also manage other individual shop elements.

Along with the online shop migration, HDM’s platform received a design overhaul to improve the user experience. It was particularly important for the company to visually link the corporate website to the new online shop. In addition, a design style guide ensures the consistent use of colours, fonts and icons in the future.

Using the modern shop system, complex product families can be displayed even more attractively. Customer-specific order lists provide even greater clarity.
